Adjustments to marriage(rewriting)

There are a lot of important adjustments that people must make when we get married. Also they consist of some types like personal, social, emotional, professional adjustments and so on.
First, personal adjustments are to put us into new position. For example, if we are women, we can be a daughter-in-law as well as a wife and that means to enlarge our family and to manage all sorts of matters related to new family. For another example, we should be responsible for housework like dusting, washing, ironing, cooking, etc. for daily life.
Second, social adjustments are resulted also from new relationship. We can make new relationship such as husband's friends and acquaintances, on the other hands, we can lose old relationship partially that we have made before marriage.
Third, emotional adjustments can be the most difficult for some people. We can be under stress for new duties or a sense of duty that we have to act and even think according to what other people expect as a married person. We may have the burden that we should get rid of the things that we enjoyed during being single.
Finally, professional adjustments are to change our attitude to the work. We may change our goal in the work place, and furthermore our work itself. Also in some case, we are to choose one of the two, home and work. Of course, we can manage both work and home but we can sometimes sit down at unsatisfactory results at work.
The adjustments are naturally very difficult even to those who are well adapted but they are essential to live successful marital life. If we believe that the adjustments are to give up a part of myself in order to get better future with new family, we can accept them easier than expected.
